Principal's Message
Just last year, 2008, St. Agnes celebrated 100 years of excellence in education, founded in 1908 by the Sisters of St. Dominic. We continue today, educating young women in this same Dominican tradition, preparing them to take their place in society as women of integrity, service and academic competency. St. Agnes has everything: moderate class size, an outstanding dedicated, fully accredited faculty of religious and lay teachers, a comprehensive college preparatory program, hands-on access to the very latest technology and a wide variety of extracurricular programs. St. Agnes has something for every student, all within a deeply rooted tradition of faith, family, achievement and service.
As I see it, St. Agnes is actually the best-kept secret in the borough of Queens, We recognize and celebrate the ethnic diversity of our students and strive to educate these young women in a manner that will impact their success and happiness for the rest of their lives.
We are very proud of our school and its rich tradition. We welcome you to come for a visit and a tour of our school. Simply call us and set up an appointment. Come and take a look for yourself at a caring faith-filled school community where every girl is known by name, as well as by her individual gifts and talents.
I am happy you were able to visit our new website - which is still under construction. No visit online however, will equal the warmth you will sense and the information you will receive when making a personal visit to St. Agnes Academic High School.
