Science, Technology, Engineering and Math

St. Agnes Academic High School understands that success for young women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math is critical to the future.  We have recently renovated state-of-the-art Physics and Biology labs and plans are underway to replace the Chemistry labs.  

St. Agnes offer students opportunities for independent study through the Science Research Program at SUNY Albany; internships through our partnership with New York Hospital Queens and college credit for math and science courses through St. John’s University.  In addition to Google Classroom, we have St. Agnes Academic High School Chapter of Girls Who Code where students learn coding from experts in the field.

St. Agnes has a strategy to educate and motivate math and science students.  Our faculty knows that increasing STEM opportunities for young women is the first step towards achieving success in high school and college and ultimately, economic success in the work force.



SUNY Albany Science Research Program

Open to Grades 10, 11, and 12, students are eligible to receive up to 12 college credits.  Students work one-on-one with a mentor on a science research project of their choosing.
