WHAT THE DAY RETREAT ON JAN 13 WAS LIKE. RESPONSES FROM FROSH:

1. Retreat day for me was a life transformation. I was able to let go of things that I kept as a burden and take advice on common problems that teens are facing each day. This is a memorable moment that I will not forget.

2. The retreat was an excellent experience. I realized that when I'm in darkness, I'm not alone. I have my friends and family to light the way. I also learned that if you're beautiful on the inside, you're the same on the outside.

3. Retreat day was filled with laughter and relaxation. I felt as if I had opened up a new side of me that I would have never opened. I also got to know my friends better. I realized that there are so many kids here around me who have extremely difficult lives. I learned that they do not have some things that I do, so I should be grateful and show my love to everyone. I tried, but my imagination could never make me feel the pain of some realities. Retreat made me realize many mysteries in life.

4. I don't feel alone anymore. I now know that there are other people who go through the same difficulties as me. Now I appreciate my family members more. I also appreciate my life more and realize that some people have harder lives than me.

5. Retreat day is a very spiritual time full of sorrow and joy. I felt so much closer to my fellow classmates because they were so open to sharing. I left there feeling so peaceful because I knew that everyone has the same problems that I go through. I loved hearing everyone's stories because I connected to many of them. Over all it was a great experience that I will never forget.

6. Retreat was a great experience. It gave me a chance to let out what I had inside. Retreat was like God was right in the room with us and protecting us.

7. Retreat was like washing away all the things that held us back. Retreat was very peaceful and relaxing.

8. Retreat was really moving because it was the only day where I could relax from stress I am going through. Retreat really touched me. It was the best day of my life.

9. Retreat was like a breakthrough. I felt that I didn't have to hold in my feelings and I'm learning how to trust people with the things I hold in all the time. I also learned how to build up my self-esteem and not to put myself down.
