  St. Agnes Academic High School Moves into the future with a new Health Sciences Program.

  For more than a century, St. Agnes Academic High School has been educating, empowering and inspiring young women.

  In September St. Agnes will begin to celebrate 110 years of academic excellence. The school is in strong financial shape, enrollment is growing and alumni giving is at an all-time high. As one of two remaining all-girls Catholic high schools in Queens, St. Agnes Academic High School is a witness to the importance of an all-girls education and we recognize that success for women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) is critical to the future.

  This fall, St. Agnes Academic High School will also introduce the St. Agnes Academic Health Sciences Program or SAAHS Program to provide hands-on experience and opportunities in a variety of health care fields. The SAAHS Program will give graduates an edge when applying for nursing and allied health programs in colleges across the country.

  St. Agnes offers students additional opportunities for independent study through the Science Research Program at SUNY Albany, internships with New York Presbyterian Hospital Queens and college credit for math and science courses through St. John’s University and an expanded partnership with Molloy College. St. Agnes also hosts a Chapter of Girls Who Code, in which students learn coding from experts in the field. In September 2017, every student will receive a Chromebook as part of the Google Classroom Project.

  Statistics prove, time and time again, that students enrolled in all-girls schools set higher educational goals, feel in control of their own choices and achieve at higher levels in math, science, and reading. This is more than a statistic at St. Agnes. Success happens every day with every girl in every classroom!
